YSU Graduating B.F.A. Exhibition

For my graduating senior exhibit at Youngstown State University, I created a mural of charcoal drawings of animals on paper in a composition inspired by Daoist philosophy. This work was influenced by the atmospheric perspective of traditional Chinese paintings, recreated through contemporary techniques inspired by the Abstract Expressionists. Layers of ink and gouache were splattered and splashed over fragmented paper surfaces with a brush and spray bottle.
